By accessing or using LazySign ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses the Service.
2. Description of Service
LazySign is a free, client-side web application that allows users to:
- Upload PDF documents and image files to their browser
- Draw a signature using their mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen
- Place their signature on the uploaded document
- Download the signed document to their device
All document processing occurs entirely within the user's browser using JavaScript. No files are uploaded to any server. The Service does not store, transmit, or process any user data on remote servers.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are solely responsible for:
- The documents and content you upload and process through the Service
- Ensuring you have the legal right to sign any document you process
- Maintaining copies of your original and signed documents
- Complying with all applicable laws regarding electronic signatures in your jurisdiction
4. Electronic Signatures
LazySign provides a tool for drawing and placing signatures on documents. The Service does not verify identity, provide digital certificate-based signatures, or offer notarization services. The legal validity of signatures created using LazySign depends on applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including the U.S. ESIGN Act and the EU eIDAS Regulation. You are responsible for determining whether signatures created with this tool meet the legal requirements for your specific use case.
5. Intellectual Property
The LazySign name, logo, and website design are the property of LazySign. The Service itself is provided for use, not sale. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the Service or its components without express permission.
You retain all rights to the documents and signatures you create using the Service. LazySign claims no ownership over any content you process through the application.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. LAZYSIGN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
7. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL LAZYSIGN, ITS OPERATORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Because the Service processes all data locally in your browser and does not transmit files to any server, LazySign has no access to your documents and cannot be held responsible for any data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access that occurs on your device.
8. Third-Party Services
LazySign integrates the following third-party services:
- Google AdSense — Displays advertisements. Subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare CDN (pdf.js) — Provides PDF rendering capabilities. Subject to Cloudflare's Terms of Service.
LazySign is not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of these third-party services.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to block access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms. Since the Service is free and requires no account, termination simply means you will no longer be able to access the website.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
